Overview
Olav is a versatile and professional creative and collaborator with a passion for storytelling. Since he began working in the industry, he has contributed creatively on a variety of projects across independent films, web series, marketing campaigns, and videography, interned at the 77th and 78th Cannes International Film Festivals in France, and assisted across the United States as a Production Assistant on numerous studio television series, films, music videos, and commercials.
With a strong foundation in visual storytelling and a keen eye for detail, Olav brings a versatile, thoughtful, and hands-on approach to every project. As a Director of Photography, he leads with both technical expertise and creative vision, shaping compelling narratives through his lighting, composition, and camera work. His experience spans the full spectrum of production, from writing and editing, to gaffing, gripping, and on-set coordination as a Production Assistant. Whether heading the camera department or stepping in across roles to support a production's success, Olav consistently delivers thoughtful, high-quality work across all stages of filmmaking. |

In addition to video production, Olav also explores creative storytelling through his writing. While his scripts range in genre, from sketch comedy to entire drama television series, the goal remains focused on effective and impactful storytelling.

"Lemon Boy" is a short film concept script, which follows an overworked man, Bruce, who rediscovers his sense of life worth through his caretaking of a sentient, childlike lemon. The complete script won 3rd place in the 2020 Pauline B. Adamson Awards for Best Screenplay.

Podcast Production
Olav is also an avid podcast listener and podcast producer, including co-producing the AO Studios-affiliated podcast, RadiAO, and creating multiple mock-podcasts for classwork, including a music-based series titled Jukebaux and a "Reply All"-style podcast episode titled Forward Along.
